Slawomir Milczarek, graduate of the Warsaw University of Technology, achieved his PhD degree in the Faculty of Mechanics and Technics in 1988.

In 1979 he began training jiu-jitsu and then Wing Chun kung fu. His teachers were Marek Stefaniak, Janusz Szymankiewicz and also Milan Prosenica and Leung Ting.

Since 1985 he has been practicing the traditional Seven Star Praying Mantis style (Qixing Tanglangquan). Since 1991 he has been the president of Polish Praying Mantis Kung Fu Society where has has been teaching traditional kung fu systems - Tanglangmen (Seven Star Praying Mantis) and Yang Shi Taijiquan (Yang family Taiji).
In 1993 while visiting Jinan he has been accepted by master Yu Tiancheng of Yantai as his closest disciple. He has studied under his guidance until the death of master Yu in 2004. Since then he continues his studies with his younger brother Yu Tianlu and master Yu Tiancheng's oldest student - shixiong Liu Xianming.
In 1993 Slawomir Milczarek has been to Singapour and Malesia where he came in contact with  their Tanglangmen lineage, mainly of master Wong Kam Hung.

He started his Yang family Taijiquan studies under guidance of master Kai Uwe Pel of Germany  and then continued with master Yu Tiancheng of Yantai. In 1996 and 1997 he continued his Taiji studies, mainly the traditional 85 movement form with master Feng Rulong of the Shanghai Institute of Wushu. Master Feng Rulong was a student of one of the most known Yang family Taiji masters, Fu Zhongwen.

While in  Shanghai he also practiced Xingyiquan with master Yang Chengde (Shanghai Wushu Xie Hui).

Slawomir Milczarek is a several times competitor in Chineese (Jinan, Qingdao, Yantai) and Italian contests. In 1999 during  II World Kung Fu Cup in Perugia he took second place in the category of masters over 40 years of age.

Slawomir Milczarek has written many articles about traditional gong fu that have been published in domestic and foreign magazines dedicated to martial arts. He has been an associate of american Mantis Quarterly devoted solely to the Tanglangmen system.
